Well I'm a college student majoring in economics and political science. I'm majoring in those areas because I want to make society a better place in which to live. More specifically I think society should be a place where everyone has at least their basic survival needs met. Where everyone overall enjoys their work, not necessary because it's fun or glamourous work but because they feel they are a part of the company or employment place their work for and not merely an expendable employee. The only real way I think for someone to feel like their a part of the place they work for is if they have a significant say in how that place operates. I've also started to look at communities that have created their own small environment to create the ideal society. Some communities I looked at were Twin Oaks, The Farm, and Gansas. Well I wrote a lot of serious stuff cause I'm hoping this website has discussions about large important topics even though in a sense everything big or small is important. I like 60s folk music a lot. Also sea songs. My music tastes are pretty wide but I'm not into rap or hip hop too much. Mostly because of the in your face message it seems to be giving all the time. I like to go coffee shops to listen to live music. I've enjoyed participating in some activities with Amnesty International though my studies have taken up most of my time. I also enjoyed activities with the outdoor club but have not had much time for that this semester. I like reading fantasy books. I'm currently rereading a book about the Vietnam war I enjoyed a lot and have rather recently read "Collapse" and found it to be very interesting. Well I think I'll leave it at that for now.
